Function:

Components:

• Heart: Pump that propels blood through blood vessels
• Blood vessels: Arteries, veins, and capillaries that form a network for blood flow
• Blood: Contains red and white blood cells, platelets, and plasma

Heart Chambers:

• Four chambers – left and right atria, left and right ventricles
• Atria receive blood, ventricles pump blood out of the heart
